St Joseph's Catholic Primary School

Growing with Jesus

As the name suggests, we are the Parents, Teachers and Friends of St Joseph’s.

If you have any ideas for either things we could buy for the school, or for fund-raising opportunities please come to a meeting or speak to one of the committee - we always appreciate new ideas and fresh input is always appreciated.

Everyone connected with the school is a member of the PTFA and therefore always welcome at meetings.

These meetings are held at least once a term (usually in the evening), with extra get togethers during the run up to events. Mrs McLeary is usually present at the termly meetings so that we can put ideas to her, and get her opinion on events etc.

Agenda and minutes from the previous meetings will be added to the links when available, and will be notified to parents via the school newsletter.

The Annual General Meeting, which is held each September, is when the following year’s committee will be elected. In order to stand for a committee post you need to be proposed and seconded either in writing or by someone at the meeting, but you will be welcomed with open arms

Officers Eva Coustumer (Chair), Francesca Wood and Annette Clarke (Co-Treasurers), Emma Massey (Secretary)

Committee/Class Representatives: Georgia Price (Pre-School), Mary Strong (Reception), Sharon Brewster (Y1), Annette Clarke (Y2), Ruth Drover and Nicola Hollywood (Y3), Fiona Conway (Y4), Annette Clarke (Y5) and Eva Coustumer (Y6).

How you can help

  • Come along to a PTA meeting (they usually last about an hour)
  • Volunteer to help at an event (even for just an hour)
  • Attend and support the events that the PTA organises
  • Complete the PFA questionnaire – let us know what you think
  • Join the school’s e-mail database to receive the weekly school newsletter, which details of events and lets you know what the money is being spent.  Consider being a parent helper in school- talk to Mrs McLeary or your child’s teacher about how you might be able to help in class.
