When we come back from the Christmas break, Year 4 will be putting our science and D&T skills to the test by constructing a light using a simple circuit. I have shared a few examples of good designs with the class and asked them to think about what light they might like to produce. In order to give children freedom to design and produce their own light, can parents send in any of the following resources that might collect over the Christmas period.:

Transparent plastic sheet e.g. from yoghurt pots 

Foil baking trays

Large necked plastic bottles

Small plastic food containers e.g. pate pot

Small transparent plastic shot glasses
